Sharing Google Search Console Access With Blastoff Advertising
Google Search Console is a free Google tool that shows how a website is being found, crawled, indexed, and displayed in Google Search. For clients working with Blastoff Advertising, Search Console access helps us review important website data that can support SEO, paid search campaigns, landing page review, content planning, and technical website improvements.
This post explains how to share Google Search Console access with Blastoff Advertising, why that access is useful, and what to do if your business does not already have a Search Console property set up.
Why Blastoff Advertising Uses Google Search Console
Google Search Console provides information that is not always available in Google Ads, Google Analytics, or a standard website dashboard. It helps show how Google understands your site and whether there are issues that may affect visibility, traffic, or the performance of important landing pages.
For SEO, website optimization, and PPC campaign management, Search Console can help us review:
- Organic search queries that may reveal useful keyword opportunities.
- Long-tail search terms that can help inform paid search keyword expansion.
- Landing pages that are receiving impressions and clicks from Google Search.
- Indexing issues that may prevent important pages from appearing correctly in search results.
- Crawl activity that shows how Google is accessing the site.
- Technical issues that may affect page visibility, usability, or landing page quality.
- Search performance trends that can help guide SEO, content, and advertising decisions.
Access to this information helps us make better decisions about your website and advertising strategy. For example, organic search query data may point to search phrases worth testing in paid campaigns. Crawl and indexing data may also reveal website issues that should be addressed before increasing ad spend or expanding campaign coverage.
How To Share Google Search Console Access
To share Google Search Console access with Blastoff Advertising, please follow these steps:
- Go to Google Search Console.
- Log in with the Google account that has access to your website property.
- Select the correct website property from the property menu.
- Click Settings in the lower-left menu.
- Click Users and permissions.
- Click Add user.
- Enter this email address: [insert Blastoff Advertising Google account email].
- Select Full permission level.
- Click Add.
Google provides additional information about account roles and permission levels in its Search Console users and permissions documentation.
Please select Full access unless we request otherwise. Restricted access may prevent us from viewing or using some of the information needed to properly review the account. Google identifies Full users as having view rights to most data and the ability to take some actions inside Search Console.
Does Sharing Access Make Blastoff Advertising The Owner?
No. Sharing user access does not transfer ownership of your Google Search Console property. Your business remains in control of the account, and access can be removed at any time from the same Users and permissions area.
Google Search Console has different permission levels, including verified owners, delegated owners, full users, and restricted users. In most cases, Blastoff Advertising only needs to be added as a Full user so we can review the data and support the work we are doing for your website, SEO, or advertising campaigns.
What If You Do Not See Users And Permissions?
If you do not see the Users and permissions option, you may not have owner-level access to the Search Console property. In that case, another person on your team, your website developer, your IT provider, or a previous marketing provider may be the verified owner.
If you are unsure who controls the account, Blastoff Advertising can help you review the situation and identify the next step. In some cases, access can be granted by the existing owner. In other cases, a new property may need to be created and verified.
What If You Do Not Have Google Search Console Set Up?
If your website does not currently have Google Search Console set up, Blastoff Advertising can help create and verify a property for your site. Google requires ownership verification because Search Console contains sensitive information about how a website appears in Google Search.
Verification may be completed through several methods, including DNS, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, an HTML file, or an HTML tag. Google explains the available options in its site ownership verification documentation.
When possible, your business should remain the verified owner of the property. Blastoff Advertising can then be added as a user with the access level needed to support your marketing work.
Why This Access Matters Before Marketing Work Begins
Search Console access is especially useful before starting or expanding SEO and paid advertising work. It gives us a clearer view of how your website is already performing in Google Search, which pages are being discovered, and whether technical issues may be limiting visibility.
This helps reduce guesswork. Instead of relying only on surface-level website review, we can look at actual search data, indexing information, and crawl signals. That makes it easier to identify useful keyword opportunities, review landing page performance, and prioritize website improvements that support long-term marketing results.
Need Help Sharing Google Search Console Access?
If you are unsure which Google Search Console property to share, whether you have the right permission level, or whether Search Console has been set up correctly, Blastoff Advertising can help you review the setup and determine the next step. Sharing access is a small setup step, but it gives us important information for improving website visibility, reviewing technical issues, and making more informed SEO and paid advertising decisions.
