Microsoft Ads, formerly called Bing Ads, allows an agency to request access to manage a client account without taking ownership of the account. To begin the access process, please email Blastoff Advertising your Microsoft Ads account number.

Your account number can usually be found inside Microsoft Ads when you are logged in at ads.microsoft.com. Microsoft Ads account numbers are 8-character alphanumeric codes.

What Happens After You Send The Account Number?

After we receive your account number, Blastoff Advertising can enter it into our Microsoft Ads manager account and request permission to manage your account. Microsoft will then send an access request to the email address associated with the account.

Once the account owner approves the request, Blastoff Advertising will have third-party management access to work in the account. This allows us to review campaigns, manage settings, and support Microsoft Ads campaign work without requiring your personal login information.

Does This Transfer Ownership Of The Account?

No. Approving a Microsoft Ads management request does not transfer ownership of your account. Your business keeps ownership and control, and access can be changed or removed later.

This type of third-party access also helps keep account management separate from your personal Microsoft login. Blastoff Advertising does not need visibility into unrelated accounts that may use the same Microsoft ID, and account billing remains tied to the client account unless a separate billing arrangement is intentionally set up.

Why Blastoff Advertising Requests Microsoft Ads Access

Access allows us to review and manage Microsoft Ads campaigns directly inside the account. This may include campaign structure, keyword targeting, ad copy, conversion tracking, budgets, bidding, search terms, performance reporting, and optimization work.

Providing access through the Microsoft Ads manager account keeps the process cleaner than sharing passwords or creating unnecessary user logins. It also gives both the client and Blastoff Advertising a clearer access trail inside the platform.

What To Send Blastoff Advertising

  • Your Microsoft Ads account number
  • The name of the business or account, if you manage more than one
  • The email address associated with the Microsoft Ads account, if helpful
  • Any note about whether the account is active, paused, or newly created

If You Cannot Find The Account Number

If you cannot find the Microsoft Ads account number, log in at ads.microsoft.com and check the account selector or account settings area. If your login has access to more than one account, make sure you send the account number for the correct advertising account, not a manager account or unrelated account ID.
