Granting Blastoff Advertising Shopify Partner Access?

To gain Shopify Partner access to your ecommerce site, Blastoff Advertising will issue an access request from our Shopify Partner dashboard.

Before we can send that request, we need your native Shopify address. This is the original Shopify address assigned to your store before it was connected to your custom domain name.

Where Do I Find My Native Shopify Address?

Your native Shopify address usually looks something like:

your-store-name.myshopify.com

It is shown in the Shopify Admin area when you are logged in. Once you provide the native Shopify address, Blastoff Advertising can send the partner access request for your review and approval.

Information Needed Before the Access Request Is Sent

Before Blastoff Advertising sends a Shopify Partner access request, the client should confirm the store’s native Shopify address, the appropriate store owner or administrator who can approve the request, and the type of project work being performed. This helps make sure the access request is sent to the correct store and that the requested permissions match the approved scope of work.

For PPC or ecommerce advertising projects, it may also be helpful to confirm whether the work involves product feeds, conversion tracking, theme-related tracking placement, Google Merchant Center, Shopify checkout settings, or other advertising-related setup.

Approving Shopify Partner Access

After Blastoff Advertising sends the Shopify Partner access request, the store owner or authorized administrator will need to approve the request inside Shopify before access is active. Shopify explains that collaborator accounts are used for Shopify Partners who are allowed to access a store or organization. You can review Shopify’s information about Shopify collaborator accounts for more detail.

The request will show the permissions being requested. Those permissions should be reviewed before approval so the access granted matches the approved project work. Shopify also provides information about Shopify users and permissions.

Why Shopify Partner Access Is Used

Shopify Partner access allows Blastoff Advertising to request the permissions needed for approved project work without asking for your personal Shopify login. This keeps access cleaner and helps preserve ownership and control of the store account.

The exact permissions requested depend on the project. For PPC or ecommerce campaign work, access may be needed to review tracking, product information, theme-related tracking placement, or other approved technical items connected to advertising setup.

Shopify’s developer documentation also explains that Shopify Partners can request access to a client’s store through the Partner Dashboard. You can review Shopify’s developer documentation for requesting Shopify collaborator access.

Removing Shopify Partner Access Later

Shopify Partner access can be reviewed or removed later by the store owner or authorized administrator inside Shopify. This allows the client to keep control of who has access to the store after the approved project work is complete or when access is no longer needed.

As with other advertising and website accounts, access should be limited to the people and vendors who need it and reviewed periodically as team members, vendors, or project requirements change.
