Please use the following instructions to grant admin access to WordPress for Blastoff Advertising:
- Log in to WordPress and access the dashboard.
- Navigate to the Users section.
- Select Add New User.
- Complete the user name field with: Blastoff Advertising.
- Use the email address shown below:
- Scroll to the bottom and select Administrator as the role or privilege level you are granting.
- Below this, select the checkbox to send account information to the new user. This allows the user to reset their own password and is more secure than creating a password and sending it by email.
- Be sure to click Save or Add New User at the bottom of the page.
Once Blastoff Advertising has access, we can log in to WordPress to confirm conversion tracking setup and review any related technical issues connected to the advertising project.
Blastoff Advertising will not open or edit your content articles, pages, products, drafts, or other site content unless it is directly related to the approved project scope.
If there is a need to install any plugins or make changes to the site, we will request permission in advance from you and/or your site developer.
Why WordPress Admin Access May Be Needed
WordPress admin access may be needed when advertising setup requires review of conversion tracking, tag placement, forms, thank-you pages, plugins, or other technical items connected to the PPC project. In many cases, tracking issues cannot be fully confirmed from the advertising platform alone because the website is where the conversion action actually occurs.
Administrative access allows Blastoff Advertising to review the approved technical items directly, identify whether tracking is installed correctly, and coordinate any needed changes with the client or site developer.
Removing WordPress Access Later
If administrative access is no longer needed after the project or setup work is complete, you can remove or downgrade the Blastoff Advertising user account from the WordPress Users section. This allows you to keep access limited to the period when it is actually needed.
WordPress Access Safety Notes
For security, it is better to create a dedicated WordPress user account for Blastoff Advertising instead of sharing an existing administrator login. This keeps access easier to manage, makes account activity clearer, and allows the user account to be removed later without affecting another person’s login.
Clients should avoid sending passwords by email. Using the WordPress option to send account information to the new user allows the user to create or reset their own password more securely.
