Google Tag Manager Access (GTM)

Blastoff Advertising uses Google Tag Manager, or GTM, for several campaign-related purposes, including PPC conversion tracking.

Google Tag Manager simplifies the management of tracking tags on your website. It can make it easier to add, remove, or edit tracking tags without requiring a web developer for every tracking change. This is especially useful when setting up or adjusting PPC campaign conversion tracking.

When granting access, use the appropriate permission level needed for the project. If you are unsure which permissions to select, let us know and we can help confirm what is needed.

If You Do Not Have a GTM Account

If you do not currently have a Google Tag Manager account, Blastoff Advertising can create one and designate you as the owner. From there, GTM can be installed on your website either by using an appropriate WordPress installation method or by sending the two GTM code snippets to your web developer for placement on the site.

Once Google Tag Manager is installed and access is shared, Blastoff Advertising can use it to help configure and review approved tracking items connected to the PPC project.

Google Tag Manager Ownership and Access Cleanup

The client should retain ownership of the Google Tag Manager account. Blastoff Advertising may need access to configure, review, or troubleshoot approved tracking items, but account ownership should remain with the business.

Access can be removed later from Google Tag Manager User Management when the project is complete or when access is no longer needed. Keeping GTM access organized helps protect account control, tracking continuity, and campaign measurement.
