No Contract Lock-In Period

Given common practices among paid search agencies, it is reasonable to ask whether Blastoff Advertising requires a contract lock-in period for PPC services.

Contract lock-in periods have been widely used in the digital advertising industry, but we do not believe in retaining clients through restrictive contract terms. Our clients are free to discontinue use of our services.

We believe there is a better way to retain clients than doing business by force of contractual language. Client retention should come from the quality of the work, the value being added, and the results of the ongoing relationship.

Why We Avoid a Contract Lock-in Period

Blastoff Advertising does use clear, simple contracts to set expectations, define terms of service, and clarify how the working relationship is structured. Those agreements are important, but they are not intended to trap clients in a relationship that no longer makes sense for them.

As far as long-term client retention is concerned, we believe the only durable model is to do a great job and continue adding value. In our experience, that is the retention model that works best in a professional services relationship.
